Free Vein Screenings at Thompson on April 6The Diagnostic Imaging Department at F.F. Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St., will hold free varicose vein consultations on Tuesday, April 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. These consultations, conducted by a Thompson vein specialist, will be held by appointment only, with a limited number of appointments available. To schedule a free screening, call the Diagnostic Imaging Department at Thompson at (585) 396-6701.All those with an appointment will get a temperature screening at the door and will be required to wear a mask at all times. Pawluk Fund Accepting Donations for Cancer Patients The committee for the Margery Coughlin Pawluk Golf Tournament recently made the difficult decision to cancel the event for 2021.Since the inception of the Naples tournament in 2005, it has raised more than $150,000 for the Margery Coughlin Pawluk Cancer Patient Needs Fund. The fund helps patients of the Sands Cancer Center, an affiliate of the Wilmot Cancer Institute on UR Medicine Thompson Health’s campus in Canandaigua, with the unexpected financial hardships of a long illness.Because the 2020 tournament was canceled due to COVID-19 as well, the fund is nearly depleted.
