Canandaigua Urgent Care Announces Holiday Hours

UR Medicine Thompson Health has announced its holiday hours for Canandaigua Urgent Care, at 699 S. Main St. in the plaza commonly known as “the old Wegmans plaza.”

The location will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), closed Christmas Day and then open on Saturday, Dec. 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Similarly, the location will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31), closed New Year’s Day and then open on Saturday, Jan. 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

F.F. Thompson Hospital also has urgent care locations in Farmington and Newark.

Each of the three Thompson locations has on-site digital X-ray services and each site also offers telehealth visits. For information about all three locations, visit

Thompson presents virtual ‘A Christmas Carol’

To benefit patients of UR Medicine Thompson Health, Kim Tenreiro is giving a special, virtual performance of his acclaimed one-man enactment of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Event hosts Rob and Carole Lillis have sponsored performances featuring Tenreiro and benefiting Thompson since 2014 and felt the show must go on despite the pandemic.

Those who would like to attend are asked to consider making a donation. Proceeds will benefit the Breast Health Patient Navigation Program at the Dr. Laurie Sands and Constellation Brands Breast Imaging Center, operated by F.F. Thompson Hospital and located at 195 Parrish St. in Canandaigua. The program provides financial, spiritual and emotional support essential for a patient’s well-being following a diagnosis of breast cancer.
