Thompson Announces New Year’s Hours for Urgent Cares, Pharmacy, Lab Stations
UR Medicine Thompson Health’s three urgent care centers will all be closed on b New Year’s Day, as will its Canandaigua Medical Group Pharmacy and its two lab draw stations in Canandaigua.
Hours for New Year’s Eve (Tuesday, Dec. 31) are as follows:
Canandaigua Urgent Care, Farmington Urgent Care, and Newark Urgent Care will all be open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Canandaigua Medical Group Pharmacy will have its normal hours of 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The lab draw stations at the hospital and the Canandaigua Medical Group will have their normal hours of 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Thompson Stroke Support Group Meets Via Zoom Jan. 2
The regional Stroke Support Group hosted by UR Medicine Thompson Health will meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, via Zoom.

F.F. Thompson Hospital is a New York State Department of Health-designated Stroke Center and has advanced certification from The Joint Commission as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The hospital is also a recipient of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines
Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally accepted, research-based guidelines.
Free Breastfeeding Class January 9 at Thompson
Thompson Hospital is hosting a free breastfeeding class from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, in the hospital’s ground-floor Thompson Conference Center (TCC).
Taught by Rachael Jagger CLC, CCE, from Ontario County Public Health, this class is intended for expecting parents who are looking for the basic skills to get their breastfeeding journey started off with confidence. They encourage support partner(s) to attend and offer a fun, interactive class that is supported with up-to-date, research-backed lactation information.
