CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health presented several health system associates with Shining Star Awards at a May 10 ceremony.These awards are a Thompson tradition dating back more than 20 years. Recipients are nominated by other associates and are voted on by a secret committee of their peers from across the health system. The number selected is based on 2% of the total number of associates within Thompson so this year, there were 38:

The proposition for Wood Library funding passed by a margin of 861 in favor to 387 opposed. A total of 1,248 votes were cast.

Enfield Spring Rhubarb Festival
Celebrate spring and everything rhubarb at the 2nd Annual Enfield Spring Rhubarb Festival on Saturday, May 20th at the Enfield Community Center, 162 Enfield Main Road in Ithaca, NY.
This family-friendly event opens at 9:00am with a breakfast of pancakes served with rhubarb sauce or pancake syrup. From 11:00am to 3:00pm, Festival activities will include a rhubarb tasting tent with treats from local bakers such as rhubarb cake, crisp and fool; samples of rhubarb and other fruit wines, and sales of rhubarb pies, fresh rhubarb, rhubarb crowns and other plants. NEW RELEASES: These two Chardonnays are our newest releases. They are both 2021s. The 2021 Reserve Chardonnay is a classic style Chardonnay barrel fermented in American Oak and aged sur lie (aged on the lees, i.e, yeast, pulp and skin fragments). The 2021 Reserve Chardonnay has aromas of pears, figs and apples. The Goldfinch Vineyards Chardonnay (also a Prejean Winery estate grown and produced wine) is barrel fermented in Grand Vosges Oak (French Oak) and also aged sur lie. The Goldfinch's elegant tropical fruit aromas match well with fish and poultry. Come taste them both! The ACL, anterior cruciate ligament, is a strong band of tissue that connects the thigh bone to the shin. It crosses with another ligament to give the knee stability.
