Thompson Names Its Associate of the Year, Shining Stars

These awards are a Thompson tradition dating back more than 20 years. Recipients are nominated by other associates and voted on by a secret committee of peers from across Thompson. The number selected is based on 2% of the total number of associates within the health system.

WINE TRAILS

June 1 - 30 | Various Times | Cayuga Lake Wine Trail

To our furry friends: The moment has come for you to nudge your human companion and make your way to the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, from June 1st through the 30th. Each winery along the trail has prepared delightful treats just for you, the most delightful of all creatures, and ample pets and belly rubs await from admirers aplenty to make your tail wag with joyous vigor.

At the very first winery you visit within the designated dates, your human will receive a ‘pooch-friendly punch card’. Should they manage to guide you to 6 or more wineries, acquire a bottle at each, and turn in their punch card at the final stop (or mail it to the wine trail office), they will enter for a chance to claim a grand prize! The precise nature of the reward remains a closely guarded secret, but we shall reveal it in due course. Click Here for Tickets

Featured Wine: 2022 Marechal Foch

Any time of year is a perfect time to enjoy the 2022 Marechal Foch (Foch for short)! This versatile dry red wine is fruit forward and naturally lower in tannins than many red wines resulting in a smooth, clean finish. In addition to pairing well with dishes that are traditionally paired with red wines (hearty beef dishes, red sauces, cheese, chocolate), due to its fruit-forward nature and unique, light finish, Marechal Foch also pairs well with a variety of dishes that are not traditionally served with red wines. Try serving Marechal Foch with grilled salmon, barbecued chicken, sautéed mushrooms or mixed greens.

To read more about Marechal Foch including our award-winning 2022 Marechal Foch go to https://prejeanwinery.com/blog/featured-wine-marechal-foch.

Wines available in the tasting room or our online wineshop.

Should You Fence Your Yard?

Any changes in your property means you are putting out some cash and you will hope to reap the benefits from that outlay in your own comfort or convenience and then again when you decide to sell.  Not all changes may be worth the time and cost and you should carefully consider your own needs and wants.  This includes putting a fence in your landscaping. Read More.

Preventing Falls

Watching toddlers walk, especially in the early stages, you expect the occasional flop onto a posterior.  Kids are always tumbling.  Once mom or dad kisses the boo boo, or perhaps cleans it and puts on a cartoon adhesive bandage, he or she is off to play again.  As adults, out for a morning run or afternoon walk, a crack in the sidewalk, or other unseen item will cause a stumble and possibly hitting the dirt. Read more.

Memorial Day Menu

The summer equinox, or first day of summer, is still almost a month away, but Memorial Day weekend seems to be the kickoff date for parties and fun.  Here are some ideas from a side through dessert. Read More.
