Apollo’s Praise Winery is described as the passionate endeavor of celebrated Finger Lakes winemakers Kelby James Russell and Julia Hoyle, working a piece of property in the region where he was born and raised and she has called home for many years.

They were settling on an 1840s farmhouse to use as an events space for their Wine & Glee (wine) Club and also possibly as an Airbnb when PennLive last caught up with them in late January. Read More.

Thanksgiving Decorations

If you are hosting Thanksgiving this year, you are probably working on a themed décor. With the price of food, you may be looking to economize on some of the “extras”. Here are some ideas you might want to consider. Read More.

Kids' Stress at Thanksgiving

The combination of holidays and kids can sometimes be challenging for parents. Everything is out of a routine. There is cooking, sometimes travel, school days off, extra people, and expectations. All of this can lead to a stressful situation for all involved. Some of this can be mischief, poor table manners, unwillingness to participate (especially in traditions), and acting out.

Veterens Day Menu

World War I ended with the effective date of November 11 with the Treaty of Versailles. In 1938 it was declared a legal holiday and it is one of those that is celebrated on the exact date, as opposed to moving it to the nearest Monday. However, this year, it is actually on a Monday.
