Thompson Better Breathers Meet April 12UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting a support group on Friday, April 12, for individuals with lung disease or breathing difficulties who are looking to improve their quality of life.Called Thompson Better Breathers, the group focuses on discussion, education, and behavioral modifications, with Thompson Health Respiratory Therapist Gerald Dilgard facilitating.The April 12 meeting will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the George M. Ewing Jr. Conference Room on the ground floor of the Constellation Center for Health and Healing, located at the back of Thompson Hospital. Enter the campus via The Thompson Way, a private drive off West Street, to the right of The Eye Care Center. Lymphedema Support Group Meets April 16UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting a Lymphedema Support Group on Tuesday, April 16, from 5 to 6 p.m. at its Canandaigua Rehabilitation Center, 699 S. Main St.The group is facilitated by Occupational Therapist and Licensed Massage Therapist Angela Kiklowicz, whose certifications include certification in Complete Decongestive Therapy for the treatment of lymphedema and other chronic swelling disorders. Prejean Winery
Come View the Eclipse at Prejean Winery!
We would love for you to join us at Prejean Winery to view the total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024. New York is one of 11 states in the direct path of the eclipse. We have plenty of great vantage points on our property including large lawn areas and our vineyards. If it’s a nice day, feel free to bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, etc. so you can situate yourself most comfortably in the viewing area of your choice. The winery will be open all day with our usual indoor and outdoor seating (weather permitting) available and our wines, some local craft beers and snacks available for purchase. You are welcome to bring your own picnic lunches.
The eclipse will begin around 2:00 pm, reaching its peak by about 3:25 pm. It will end by the early evening. The peak of the eclipse, itself, is expected to last for up to 4 minutes and 28 seconds. You are welcome to join us any time between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
We have 50 pairs of Eclipse Safety Glasses that are available for FREE on a first come, first serve basis.
The special we are offering during “Eclipse Day” is FREE TASTINGS with a purchase of 2 or more bottles of wine. We will also be offering our award-winning Ethereal Sparkling wine by the glass for $6.00, so you can join us for a toast to the Eclipse.
Our usual capacity restrictions apply. Serving groups of 6 or more on a first come, first serve basis. Groups of 7 to 10 please call ahead.
