Tickets Available for Sept. 1 Gala at Lincoln Hill Farms

Tickets are available for the F.F. Thompson Foundation’s annual gala, taking place the evening of Thursday, Sept. 1, at Lincoln Hill Farms, 3792 Route 247 in Canandaigua.

Individual tickets are $250 apiece, with some sponsorships still available at 

. Proceeds will benefit Thompson’s Healthcare Education Fund, which allows UR Medicine Thompson Health associates in good standing to pursue higher education and achieve their career goals.

With a theme of “Field of Dreams,” the gala begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and live music from Dave Turner by Lincoln Hill Farms’ silos. Following dinner in the Sunflower Hill Tent, there will be a live auction and a cash call prior to live music from Rolling Heads. For more information, contact the F.F. Janczak Named New VP of Long-Term Care for Thompson

UR Medicine Thompson Health recently named Mathew Janczak of Farmington as its new vice president of long-term care.

Janczak holds a bachelor’s in systems engineering from the United States Naval Academy. He served in three combat deployments while in the Navy, earning two Air Medals in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Janczak holds a doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh and a New York State Nursing Home Administrator license. One year after joining Thompson as a physical therapist in 2012, Janczak became manager of the Rehabilitation Services Department at its 178-bed M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. He was named assistant administrator of the facility in 2020.
