Lymphedema Support Group Meets Feb. 20
UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting a Lymphedema Support Group on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 5 to 6 p.m. at its Canandaigua Rehabilitation Center, 699 S. Main St.
The group is facilitated by Occupational Therapist and Licensed Massage Therapist Angela Kiklowicz, whose certifications include certification in Complete Decongestive Therapy for the treatment of lymphedema and other chronic swelling disorders.

Physician Joins Finger Lakes Family CareDr. Harinder Singh
Dr. Harinder Singh recently joined Finger Lakes Family Care, 23 North St. in Canandaigua, as an internist caring for adult patients.Singh received her medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine on the island of Saba in the Dutch Caribbean. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Rochester General Hospital and worked at a Rochester Regional Health internal medicine practice in Rochester from 2019 through 2023. Singh is a resident of Webster. Board certified in internal medicine and a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, she is fluent in both English and Punjabi.

Startng a School Garden
Research shows that Elementary, Middle and High schools all benefit from a school/community garden. It is beneficial to supplementing curriculum in math, science, language, history, and more. However, as good as the concept is, there are certainly barriers to these ventures. Read more.

Super Bowl 2024 New Year Menu
Even if you host super bowl parties just for the socializing (and the ads), food is always a critical element. We have started with an appetizer as an homage to the host city, Las Vegas. We have included a dessert cookie for the sport itself. For entrees, there is a fish stew from San Francisco, a city known for its access to seafood, and beef prepared ala the heartland of Kansas City.
