While things are subject to change and change quickly, as of today (Jan. 21), UR Medicine Thompson Health is administering doses of COVID-19 vaccine that have been designated by New York State as
second doses only.
All of Thompson’s existing vaccine has been allotted and the health system is eagerly awaiting future shipments from the state. Once Thompson receives those shipments, it will announce how, where and when eligible community members may sign up for first doses from Thompson. In the meantime, those currently eligible to receive the vaccine may wish to visit county public health department websites and the websites of area retail pharmacies for potential clinic availability.
