Thompson to Host Job Fair Jan. 11

UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting a job fair for positions open throughout the health system on Thursday, Jan. 11, from 3 to 5 p.m.

With on-site interviews, the job fair will be held in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing at Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St. Those attending should enter the campus from West Street and park in the lot behind the hospital for best access to the Constellation Center.

Thompson is Ontario County’s largest employer and was named to the 2023 “Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare” list published by

. F.F. Thompson Hospital has received Magnet®  designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center consistently since 2004, and the health system’s M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center has a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Available immediately upon employment, tuition assistance – for staff members pursuing further education – is up to $6,000 per year for those employed full-time and up to $3,000 per year for those working part-time. There are additional initiatives to help associates advance in their careers, including an RN residency program for new graduates and a CNA-to-LPN program that covers tuition.

Thompson’s Gentle Yoga Series Begins Jan. 10

UR Medicine Thompson Health’s Wellness Department is hosting a Gentle Yoga course from noon to 1 p.m. on six Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 10 and ending Feb. 21.

The class will be held on the ground floor of F.F. Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St., in the Thompson Conference Center (TCC). Instructor Jennifer Muscato will lead a gentle mind/body workout to improve posture and increase strength and flexibility.

There will be no class on Jan. 31.

Pre-registration is required. The cost for the six-week session is $60, or $15 per class. Call 585-301-2998 for information and to register/pay over the phone. Payment is due before the first day of class.
