Thompson Names Director of Cardiopulmonary Services
UR Medicine Thompson Health recently named Susan Bezek as its new director of Cardiopulmonary Services.

Bezek, a resident of Naples, is now overseeing Cardiology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Respiratory Therapy, and Clinical Nutrition at F.F. Thompson Hospital.
Having obtained her bachelor’s degree from Keuka College and her master’s as a nurse practitioner from the University of Rochester School of Nursing, Bezek received a doctorate in nursing education from Capella University. Prior to joining Thompson, she was the chair for the Division of Nursing at Keuka College and an associate professor of nursing as well as the director of the Division of Nursing’s bachelor’s program and its dual degree program.
“Sue has a broad healthcare background in critical care, education and leadership,” said Thompson Health Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer Hazel Robertshaw. “This mixture makes her an ideal fit for this position.”
Nurse Practitioner Joins Thompson Health Gastroenterology
Adult Nurse Practitioner Lisa Kessel recently joined Thompson Health Gastroenterology in Canandaigua.

A Victor resident, Kessel previously worked for more than a decade at a primary care practice in Rochester. Prior to that, she worked with Dr. Raymond Thomas – now at Thompson Health Gastroenterology – at his Parrish Street practice in Canandaigua.
Kessel is a graduate of St. John Fisher University in Rochester who received her Master of Science from the University of Rochester. She is board certified as an adult nurse practitioner.

Drying Flowers
In a few weeks we will be seeing those spring blooms. Then in a few more weeks we will be in the middle of the abundance of a garden full of color. Reducing Alcohol Consumption
