Free ‘Oh, My Healthy Back’ Seminar Set for March 12
Individuals who experience occasional lower back pain are invited to attend a free seminar on Wednesday, March 12, at UR Medicine Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St. in Canandaigua.
Called “Oh My Healthy Back,” the seminar will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Constellation Center for Health and Healing, accessed via The Thompson Way, a private drive off West Street.
Cheri Sidoti and Farley Wagner, both physical therapists with Thompson Health Rehabilitation Services, will discuss spinal anatomy, spinal conditions, and theories about lower back pain and basic pain management techniques.
Although there is no charge for this program, an RSVP is required because space is limited. Call (585) 396-6068.

Thompson to Host Suicide Prevention Presentation March 19
Deepen your understanding of suicide prevention and learn how we can collectively work toward prevention at “Talk Saves Lives,” a presentation hosted by UR Medicine Thompson Health on Wednesday, March 19.

Paul Ziegler
Held in the cafeteria at F.F. Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St. in Canandaigua, the presentation will run from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. and feature Paul Ziegler. An educator and suicide prevention advocate, he lost his 25-year-old son Jacob to suicide in 2015 when Jacob was serving as a soldier.
Ziegler, drawing from his extensive experience and personal journey, will provide insights into the factors contributing to suicide and practical steps we can take to make a difference.
