Thompson on ‘150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare’ List

For the fifth time, UR Medicine Thompson Health is on the “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare” list released by 

Becker's Hospital Review.

According to the publication featuring business and legal information for healthcare industry leaders, the 2022 list “highlights hospitals, health systems and healthcare companies that promote diversity within the workforce, employee engagement and professional growth.” This year, there are a total of eight New York hospitals, health systems and medical groups included. Five are downstate, with the other two upstate hospitals being the University of Rochester Medical Center and Highland Hospital in Rochester, also an affiliate of UR Medicine.

“Especially in this highly competitive job market, inclusion on this list is very exciting to Thompson Health because it lets people in our region know we work hard to empower our associates, helping them thrive both professionally and personally,” said Thompson Health Vice President of Associate Services and Wellness Jennifer DeVault.

We will accept books, audio & music CD’s, and DVD movies in good condition. We cannot accept VHS tapes, audiobooks on cassette, magazines, Reader Digest condensed books, or old Encyclopedia sets.  We will accept new and gently-used purses at Wood Library during regular business hours and on May 6 & 7. We cannot accept suitcases or duffel bags.

Featured Event: British Car Show

The Ontario County Historical Society (OCHS) is hosting a classic British Car Show at Onanda Park, West Lake Road, in Canandaigua, NY. Classic car owners and spectators alike will be able to enjoy the perfect combination of cars, food, and history alongside Canandaigua Lake. The spring weather with the amazing view of classic British cars (pre 1997 production) along Canandaigua Lake make this an event to get out of the house for! A variety of food will be available.

Car owners can enter their car by registering at the link below for $20. All registered cars will be eligible to win people’s choice awards in multiple categories: Pre-1980, 1980 – 1997, Overall, and a special MGB category for the 60th anniversary.

Admission for the public is free and all spectators receive a ballot to vote for their favorite cars.

Registered car owners should arrive between 8:30-10 A.M. The show is open to the public from 10 A.M. – 2 P.M.
