Thompsonâs Community Flu Clinics Start Sept. 18
UR Medicine Thompson Health has scheduled six community flu clinics in the region.
Administered to those 9 and older at these clinics, the standard 2024-2025 vaccine provides protection against three flu virus strains. There also is a high-dose flu vaccine for those 65 and older. This contains additional antigen designed to create a stronger immune response for the recipient.
The schedule is as follows:
Thursday, Sept. 18, noon to 4 p.m. at Thompson Health Canandaigua Urgent Care, 699 S. Main St., Canandaigua
Thursday, Sept. 25, 3 to 6 p.m., Farmington Town Hall, 1000 County Road 8, Farmington
Monday, Sept. 29, 3 to 6 p.m., Hopewell Fire Station #2, 4018 Routes 5 & 20, Canandaigua
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 3 to 6 p.m., Thompson Health Farmington Urgent Care, 1160 Corporate Drive, Farmington
Monday, Oct. 13, 3 to 6 p.m., Veterans Park, 6910 Routes 5 & 20, Bloomfield
Wednesday, Oct. 15, 3 to 6 p.m., Victor Fire Department, 34 Maple Ave., Victor
The flu shots are free to patients with insurance (patients must present an insurance card at the time of the visit). The self-pay cost for those without insurance is $45, and $80 for the high-dose vaccine (cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa). Visit www.ThompsonHealth.com/flu or call 585-924-1550 for more information.
Thompson Health Spiritual Care Department to Host Interfaith Event for Communityâs Religious Leaders
UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting a gathering of community spiritual leaders on Friday, Oct. 10, with a goal of fostering connection and collaboration to benefit those served by the health system.
Pastors, priests, rabbis, imams, and other religious leaders from throughout the region are invited to the event. It is scheduled to run from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the ground-floor Thompson Conference Center (TCC) at F.F. Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St. in Canandaigua.
âThis event offers a unique opportunity to visit our hospital and learn more about how we are serving our community â patients, families, and staff alike,â said Rev. Janice D. Lum, the director of Spiritual Care for Thompson and also one of four chaplains at its hospital.
In addition to light refreshments, the gathering will include networking and an open forum for dialogue as Lum and her team seek to build relationships with the community spiritual partners. She explained that while the hospital chaplains are able to provide the care needed, the Spiritual Care Department always seeks to honor established patient/clergy relationships.
âWe believe spiritual care is a vital part of holistic healing, and we are eager to strengthen our ties with the faith leaders who serve our community,â she said. âTogether, we want to explore how we can better support those in need â body, mind, and spirit.â
RSVP for the event by emailing [email protected] or calling 585-396-6987.

How 433 Investors Unlocked 400X Return Potential
Institutional investors back startups to unlock outsized returns. Regular investors have to wait. But not anymore. Thanks to regulatory updates, some companies are doing things differently.
Take Revolut. In 2016, 433 regular people invested an average of $2,730. Today? They got a 400X buyout offer from the company, as Revolutâs valuation increased 89,900% in the same timeframe.
Founded by a former Zillow exec, Pacasoâs co-ownership tech reshapes the $1.3T vacation home market. Theyâve earned $110M+ in gross profit to date, including 41% YoY growth in 2024 alone. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.
The same institutional investors behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay backed Pacaso. And you can join them. But not for long. Pacasoâs investment opportunity ends September 18.
Paid advertisement for Pacasoâs Regulation A offering. Read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving a ticker symbol is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals.
